BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party for all constituencies for the June 9 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective party/coalition, the candidates themselves and other official sources of information.

A total of 31 candidates’ lists of parties and coalitions have been registered to run in the elections in Sofia's 25th member constituency.

The order follows the sequential numbers on the ballots, as drawn by the Central Election Commission:

1. There Is Such a People: Stanislav Trifonov. Born in 1966. Musician, TV host, and producer. Leader of There Is Such a People since February 16, 2020. MP in 45th National Assembly;
2. Glas Naroden [People's Voice] Party: Svetoslav Vitkov. Born in 1971. Holds a degree in economics from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy. Author of music, texts, and books; owns a producer and publishing company. Karate instructor for children and adults since 1994. Municipal councillor in Sofia from Glas Naroden from 2015 to 2019;
3. Blue Bulgaria Coalition (9 parties: Conservative Alliance of the Right (KOD); Bulgarian Democratic Forum; Democratic Action Movement; National Movement for Stability and Upsurge; Bulgaria of the Citizens Movement; Conservative Bulgaria Party; Radical Democratic Party in Bulgaria; Bulgarian New Democracy Party; Agrarian People's Union): Nikola Yankov. Graduate of Cornell University, US. Has worked at management positions in international companies. Former deputy minister of economy (2001-2003) and transport (2003-2005). Head of the Users’ Committee with the Central Depository;
4. We the Citizens Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Spring; Competence, Responsibility and Truth (KOI); Bulgarian Workers'-Peasants' Party): Nako Stoyanov. Born in 1954. Professor, doctor of philosophy, and doctor of history. University lecturer in Japanese studies. Author of over 60 monographs, textbooks, and booklets on the topics of governance, economy, politics, innovation, and globalism;
5. No registered list of candidates;
6. Bulgarian Voice Party: Rumen Hristov. Born on September 1, 1953. Holds a higher education degree. Has worked as chief expert in counter-terrorism and international terrorism for the Interior Ministry and as chief expert at Border Police and Criminal Police. Has also worked as chief expert in crises management at the regional administration of Sofia Region;
7. Rose Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Social Democracy - EuroLeft; United Labour Bloc Bulgarian Labourists; Rodolyubie 2000): Aleksandar Tomov. Born in 1954 in Sofia. Studied at the University of National and World Economy and the Mikhail Lomonosov St Petersburg University; associate professor of economy. Member of the Grand National Assembly in June 1990. Founder of the Civil Union for the Republic movement in 1993, later the Bulgarian Euro-Left party. Appointed director of the EastWest Institute in New York in 1995.
8. Centre Coalition (2 parties: Svoboda [Freedom]; Bulgarian Agrarian Party): Vassil Bojkov. Born on July 29, 1956 in Velingrad. Master’s degrees in mathematics and economy from the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, the University of National and World Economy, and the University in Buenos Aires. Main share holder in the biggest gambling companies in Bulgaria. Founder of the Thrace Foundation for popularizing and preserving world cultural and historical heritage and of a private museum;
9. Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition: Vanya Grigorova. Former trade unionist and economic adviser to the President of the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour. Came second in the local elections in 2023 in Sofia, in which she run on BSP for Bulgaria’s ticket. Member of the Sofia Municipal Council in the BSP for Bulgaria Local Coalition group;
10. Edinenie [Unity] Party: Ivan Hristanov. Born on December 24, 1973, in Sofia. Master's degree in economics from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy with a specialization in agrarian economics. Also holds a degree in accounting. Member of the 47th National Assembly before becoming deputy minister of agriculture;
11. Bulgarian National Alliance (BNO) Party: Georgi Georgiev. Graduated in social activities and acting from Blagoevgrad’s Neofit Rilski South-West University. Has professional experience in municipal social services. Currently working in the media field;
12. Vazrazhdane Party: Kostadin Kostadinov. Born on April 1, 1979. Graduated in Balkan studies from the University of Veliko Tarnovo in 2002. Master’s degree in law from the same university in 2011. PhD from the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. MP in the 47th, 48th and 49th National Assembly;
13. Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Party: Radostin Vassilev. Born on January 1, 1985, in Pleven. Master’s degree in law from the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. Legal expert with experience in civil law and legal regulation of sport. MP in the 45th and 46st National Assembly from There Is Such a People. MP in 47th, 48th and 49th National Assembly from Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria. Leaves the coalition in May 2023;
14. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Continue the Change; VOLT; Democrats for Strong Bulgaria; Yes, Bulgaria Movement): Hristo Petrov. Born on December 19, 1979 in Sofia. Founder of the Absurd band. Co-owner of the biggest Bulgarian digital platform for hip hop and pop music, Facing the Sun. MP in 47th, 48th and 49th National Assembly;
15. The Truth and Nothing but the Truth People's Party: Ventsislav Angelov;
16. Bulgarian Rise Party: Denitsa Yanakieva. Born on February 11, 1981. Master’s degree in communication equipment and technology engineering from Technical University Sofia. Degree in business administration from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy. Has worked in the field of telecommunications. Has held leading positions for nine years in international IT companies;
17. Civic Bloc Coalition (Radicals Bulgarian Democratic Union, Bulgarian Women's Party): Ivan Geshev. Degree in law from the Interior Ministry’s Higher Institute. Over 30 years of experience at the Interior Ministry, investigation, and prosecution service. Prosecutor general from 2019 to 2023;
18. Society for New Bulgaria Party: Radostin Iliev;
19. The Left! Coalition (ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), Movement 21, Green Party, Alexander Stamboliiski Agrarian Party, National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, Social Democrats Political Movement): Mihail Mikov. Born on June 16, 1960 in Kula. Legal expert. Chairman of the 42nd National Assembly. Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2009. Leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party from 2014 to 2016; left the party in January 2022;
20. Party of the Greens: Hristo Dounchev. Born in Sofia. Graduated in various programmes at the Varna Free University and the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Master’s degree from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy. Hockey player for many years. Has worked as deputy head of administration for a private company in Germany and as a manager in Bulgaria’s private sector. Trade representative from 2009 to 2012. Works in the IT industry;
21. Here We Come Party: Nikolay Hadzhigenov. Born on June 30, 1971, in Sofia. Master’s degree in law from New Bulgarian University. Has over 20 years of experience as lawyer in criminal law and intellectual property law. Civil activist and human rights defender. Fluent in English, Italian, and Russian. MP in the 45th and 46th National Assembly;
22. GERB-UDF Coalition (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (UDF)): Boyko Borissov. Born on June 13, 1956, in Bankya. Graduate of the Interior Ministry’s Higher School. Appointed Secretary General of the Interior Ministry in 2001. Mayor of Sofia from 2005 to 2009. Leader of GERB since its establishment in 2006. Prime minister of Bulgaria in three governments. Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee in the 49th National Assembly;
23. Bulgarian National Union New Democracy Party: Boyan Rassate;
24. BSP for Bulgaria Coalition (Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP); Ecoglasnost Political Club; Trakia Political Club): Korneliya Ninova. Born on January 16, 1969. Master’s degree in law from the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. BSP leader since May 8, 2016. MP in several parliaments. Deputy prime minister and minister of economy and industry from December 2021 to August 2022;
25. Velichie [Grandeur] Party: Nikolay Markov;
26. VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement Party: Angel Dzhambazki. Born on March 21, 1979 in Sofia. Master’s degree in law from the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. Legal expert. Member of the VMRO National Executive Committee. MEP in two European Parliaments and member of the Sofia Municipal Council from 2007 to 2014;
27. Direct Democracy Party: Kalin Pavlov;
28. Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Party: Stanislav Anastasov. Born in 1983. Bachelor’s degree in business management from the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia and Master’s degree in political management from New Bulgarian University. Minister of environment and water in 2014. MP in five National Assemblies;
29. Green Movement Party: Georgi Stefanov;
30. Party for Great Bulgaria: Pierre Bozhilov. Engineer. Member of the formation’s Executive Committee;
31. Bulgarian Union for Direct Democracy (BSDD): Nikolay Nikolov;
32. Neutral Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Communist Party of Bulgaria; Bulgarian Communist Party; Party of Bulgarian Communists; Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland): Nikolay Malinov. Born on September 12, 1968, in Sofia. Economist. MP in the 40th and 42nd National Assembly from Coalition for Bulgaria. Member of the BSP National Council from 2009 to 2015, when she leaves the party. Head of the Russophiles National Movement since 2009. Elected head of the Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland in 2020; currently Honorary Chairman of the formation.
