Outbound car traffic is heavy at the border crossing at Ruse on the border with Romania, and inbound traffic for cars is heavy at the Makaza and Kulata border crossings with Greece, the Border Police reported Sunday. The information was current as of 18:00.

The Romanian border authorities will not allow trucks over 7.5 tonnes through the Durankulak/Vama Veche border checkpoint during the holidays on May 5 and 6 May from 6 am to 10 pm.

Only cars and minibuses may pass through the Makaza, latograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points with Greece.

Traffic is normal at the borders with Serbia, North Macedonia and Turkiye.

Construction works are being carried at the Kalotina checkpoint on the border with Serbia, which require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of traffic. During the holidays, travellers with cars should bear in mind that the temporary traffic organisation before and in the area of the border crossing may lead to delays.
