site.btaCEC: Ciela Norma Candidate for Provision of Machine Voting on June 9 Elections, Should Submit Initial Bids

Ciela Norma is a candidate under the public procurement for the provision of machine voting for the national and European elections on June 9 and should submit initial bids in accordance with the technical specifications and the terms of contracts for two separate lots, says a decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) published on Tuesday.

The decision of the Commission states that Ciela Norma is the only candidate for both the first and the second lots. CEC also approves the call for tenders for each of the lots.

According to the decision, candidates for each of the lots who meet the requirements as to personal capacity and compliance with the selection criteria and for whom there are no grounds for exclusion should be invited to submit initial tenders under the procurement.

The first lot is for maintenance/diagnostics (testing of specialized electronic voting machine devices and the embedded peripherals - printer and smart card reader), preparation, installation of operating system and application software, parameterization and completion of the devices, their technical maintenance in the pre-election and election day at the local/relevant polling stations and provision of a Support Centre in case of problems with the devices in the elections.

The second lot, according to the CEC decision, is for transportation of the electronic voting machine devices to the polling stations in the country and logistical support in the pre-election and post-election day.
