Disadvantaged children treated at the Noor medical center for the disabled in Casablanca, Morocco, will be able to receive education while under hospital care. They will get this chance with the pilot School in the Hospital Project of the Friends of the Disabled Association in Morocco (L'Amicale marocaine des handicapés - AMH), funded by a grant from the Bulgarian Development Aid programme, the Bulgarian Embassy in Rabat said on its official website.

On March 7, 2024, during a special public event, the funding agreement for this programme was signed between the Bulgarian Embassy in Morocco and the Friends of the Disabled Association .

Ambassador Plamen Tsolov briefed the attendees on Bulgarian development aid as part of Bulgaria's foreign policy aimed at providing support for social, humanitarian and educational projects implemented by NGOs in developing countries, including Morocco.

Amina Slaoui, President of the Association, thanked Bulgaria for the grant, citing statistics showing that almost half of the country's children with disabilities, between the ages of 7 and 12, remain without an education due to lack of adequate learning opportunities. She stressed that the current Bulgarian grant would contribute to the implementation of a new pilot project which, if successful, would be an example to follow not only in Morocco but also in other countries.
