site.btaEarthquake Felt in Southern Bulgaria on Friday

May 1 (BTA) - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered at 14:01 hrs local time on Friday, epicentered 13 km from the southern city of Plovdiv, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 2 km. It was felt in many places in Bulgaria.

There are no reports about injured people or damage.

A few chimneys have fallen in Plovdiv. RI/ZH
