site.btaGeorgi Gospodinov's "Time Shelter" Published in Malayalam in India

Georgi Gospodinov's novel Time Shelter was published in India in the Malayalam language, Gospodinov announced on his official Facebook page Friday. 

"Malayalam is a South Dravidian language mostly spoken in the south-western part of India", Manol Peykov, publisher of the book in Bulgarian, added. "It is one of the 23 official languages in India - it is official in the state of Kerala and the island union territory of Lakshadweep. It is spoken by about 38 million people". 

The book has been translated into English, German, Polish, Dutch, Croatian, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish, Chinese and Arabic. 

On May 23, 2023, Georgi Gospodinov's novel Time Shelter, translated in English by Angela Rodel, won the Booker Prize. This is the first Bulgarian author and book to win the prestigious literary award.
