site.btaUniversity Libraries to Be Modernised with BGN 10 Mln under New National Programme

A new national programme of the Ministry of Education and Science will invest BGN 10 million in the modernisation of university libraries. Adopted by the Government on Wednesday, the programme for modernising 33 public universities will be implemented over the course of three years.

Over 150,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students are expected to be supported in their studies and scientific development during this period.

The programme offers the opportunity to provide modern equipment, build new spaces and improve existing facilities. Funds can be invested in purchasing specialised literature, providing easier access to it, building digital collections, creating institutional repositories, implementing processing software, etc.
