site.bta1,652 Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Bulgaria

Sofia, May 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria has reached 1,652, according to data from the National
Coronavirus Task Force unveiled at 5 pm on Monday.

A total of 316 COVID-19 patients across the country are in
hospital, including 37 in intensive care.

So far there have been 78 deaths related to COVID-19, including
four fatalities registered on Monday.

The figures for the past three weeks show a peak in the
morbidity curve in the week between April 20 and 26 when 433 new
 cases were registered.

The Task Force believes that statistical data for the next two
weeks will be vital for seeing whether the measures this country
 took have been effective and for deciding what action needs to
