site.btaCabinet Finalises Visa Waiver Agreement for Egyptians with Diplomatic or Service Passports

The Council of Ministers here on Wednesday approved the Agreement between Bulgaria and Egypt on mutual exemption from the requirements for short-stay visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports. The agreement was signed on March 10, 2024, during Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel's official visit to Cairo.

Egypt is Bulgaria's largest trade and economic partner in the Middle East and Africa. Bilateral trade volumes exceeded EUR 1 billion in 2023. Egypt has a rapidly growing economy and a developing energy sector, with the potential to export energy resources to Europe.
