Sofia, May 10 (BTA) - Bulgaria has 1,965 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 17:00 hrs on Sunday, including 10 new cases from this day, according to Health Ministry figures.

A total of 91 patients have died and 444 have recovered completely.

The most COVID cases diagnosed in the past 24 hours - 15 - were in the southern region of Blagoevgrad after a hotspot was identified in the village of Ossina with 13 confirmed cases.

A total of 385 patients are in medical care, including 58 in intensive care.

Three of the new cases are among medical staff and thus infected medics add up to 209 or 11 per cent of all cases.

Female patients outnumber male patients: 1,008 against 957. The
average age of the patients is 48.6 years.

The state of emergency over COVID-19 in Bulgaria ends on May 13 but the distancing measures are already being eased. The authorities have warned that tighter restrictions will be reinstated if over 100 new cases are found in a day for three
consecutive days. LN/
