Bulgarian actress Tsvetana Maneva was decorated with the President's Badge of Honour on Wednesday.
President Rumen Radev presented the distinction to Maneva, who is turning 80, for her contribution to the development of theatre and film art and her merits in the establishment and development of Bulgarian acting traditions.
Maneva said: "Gift is a given, talent is work. I accept this plaque as an appreciation for my work, which spanned more than half a century." She thanked all the people she has worked with, saying: "Acting is not a solitary occupation, it is a collective art and the people I have met along the way have energized me."
