site.btaNational Hero Vassil Levski to Be Commemorated in Sofia Monday

Sofia is commemorating the 151st death anniversary of Bulgarian national hero Vassil Levski (1837-1873) on Monday. President Rumen Radev will deliver a speech and lay a wreath at the monument to Levski in central Sofia, Radev's Press Secretariat said. Vice President Iliana Iotova will attend the ceremony.

Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov and members of the Defence Ministry's political and military leadership will pay tribute, the Ministry said.

A guard of honour from the National Guards Unit will stand at the monument all day on Monday.

More commemorative events will be held across Bulgaria.
