Youth and Sports Minister Dimitar Iliev Monday conferred with representatives of FIFA and UEFA, led by UEFA Executive Committee member Servet Yardımcı. The highlight of the discussion was the current situation in Bulgarian football and the upcoming Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) congress.

In this regard, acting BFU president Mihail Kasabov told the participants in the meeting that the congress, which is to take place on March 15, will be open and transparent.

"Football is a very important and beloved sport in Bulgaria. That is why it is important that its problems are solved and that we all together enjoy international success again," Iliev said.

Yardımcı expressed his willingness to cooperate with Iliev's team for the benefit of Bulgarian football.
