The Constitutional Court announced Friday that it has opened a case on a petition by 48 MPs who challenge recent amendments to the Constitution. The applicants are deputies of the nationalist Vazrazhdane party and There Is Such a People.
The changes to the country's basic law were adopted conclusively on December 20, 2023.
The two parties contest the constitutionality of each one of the changes.
The constitutionality of revisions were also contested by President Rumen Radev.
