site.btaZdravka Evtimova Receives Inaugural 2023 Dr. T. O’Connor Sloane Prize in Speculative Fiction

Zdravka Evtimova received the inaugural 2023 Dr. T. O'Connor Sloane Prize in speculative fiction literature, Evtimova said on Thursday. The prize is awarded by Starship Sloane Publishing in the US.

"This prize recognizes Zdravka’s significant and lasting contributions to the field of speculative fiction through her uniquely creative literary vision and voice, inspired originality, and established body of highly regarded, internationally award-winning work," reads the text on the prize certificate.  

The publishing house's website says that Evtimova is "one of Bulgaria’s foremost contemporary authors, whose established body of internationally award-winning work has deeply enriched the field of speculative fiction and more broadly, literature as a whole". 

In early December Starship Sloane Publishing released Evtimova's novel He May Wear My Silence.
