site.btaBulgarian Children Win Distinctions in Brainobrain Competition in Dubai
Bulgarian children won distinctions at the 10th International Competition in Dubai held under the Brainobrain skill development programme. More than 2,000 children from over 30 countries participated, the Bulgarian Consulate General in Dubai said on Facebook.
Emi Gigova and Beloslava Naydenova from Sofia's G.S. Rakovski School won a cup and a gold medal respectively. Petar Milanov from Botevgrad and Tsvetomir Alexandrov from Sofia also won gold medals.
Anton Panayotov from Sofia's National School of Culture, Gabriela Mincheva from Sofia's Hristo Botev Secondary School and Stefania Nikolova from Sofia's William Gladstone Secondary School took silver.
The children are training at the Brainobrain centres in Sofia led by Katrin Kasparyan and in Botevgrad (Western Bulgaria) led by Antoaneta Petkova.
International motivational speaker and philanthropists Laila Rahhal El Atfani was the chief guest of the event. Huzaifa Ibrahim, founder and President of Friends of Parkinson's UAE, was a guest of honour, the Bulgarian Consulate General said.
