site.bta12th Moto Christmas Pleven Raises Nearly BGN 44,000 for Children in Need of Treatment, Rehabilitation

The 12th edition of Moto Christmas Pleven raised nearly BGN 44,000, Bozhana Kostova from the community of motorcyclists in the city, who organize the annual fundraiser, told BTA. The sum was collected through 62 charity boxes, a charity fair in Pleven, charity auctions, donations to a charity bank account, and donations made during the motorcycle procession on Christmas Eve, which marked the end of the 2023 campaign.

More than 600 motorcycles and ATVs took part in this year’s procession. 

The money raised will be distributed among children in need of treatment and rehabilitation, Kostova explained. Their parents, relatives, friends, and families can contact the initiative’s organizers via Facebook in the next two weeks, after which a decision will be taken on how the money will be distributed. 

Kostova recalled that the 2022 campaign raised over BGN 34,000, which helped six children.
