site.btaAgriculture Minister Meets with Japan's Ambassador

Agriculture and Food Minister Kiril Vatev and Japan's Ambassador Hisashi Michigami Thursday discussed possible ways to boost business contacts between the two countries, the Agriculture Ministry said. Vatev said he would support opportunities to deepen cooperation in the food industry and suggested an exchange of business delegations.

For his part, Ambassador Michigami talked about contacts between Japanese and Bulgarian universities which train students in agriculture and food processing. He noted that it is important to encourage the exchange of researchers and students and to share knowledge and experience. 

Vatev presented key achievements of Bulgarian agriscientists and concluded that the two countries can develop robust cooperation in education and science.
