site.btaGeneral Labour Inspectorate, German Organization to Cooperate to Better Protect Rights for Bulgarian Workers in Germany

The General Labour Inspectorate said it has signed a cooperation agreement with the German Arbeit und Leben (AL), which offers free consultations on labour law.  The agreement aims to protect the rights of Bulgarian workers for the duration of their employment in Germany.

Also, efforts will be made to restrict discrimination, exploitation and other violations of the rights of mobile workers. 

Bulgarian Ambassador to Germany Grigor Porozhanov cited as a good example the cooperation between the German AL centres and the Bulgarian General Labour Inspectorate. He said that ensuring decent labour for all, including for mobile and seasonal workers, is a priority of the policies and measures of the Bulgarian Labour Ministry. According to him, this is an utmost priority for the Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin.
