The economic and social councils of Spain and Bulgaria signed an agreement of cooperation and exchange of information at an official ceremony at the Fernan Nunez Palace in Madrid, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Spain said on its official website on Friday.

"The two institutions confirmed their will to develop long-term and stable cooperation for the exchange of information on issues of the economic and social reality in the two countries, as well as for the implementation of specific projects to strengthen the interaction between the two councils," the Bulgarian diplomatic mission stated.

As a sign of the future constructive partnership, Zornitsa Rusinova, President of the Bulgarian Economic and Social Council, presented an honourary plaque to her Spanish colleague Anton Costas.

The Economic and Social Council of Bulgaria is a consultative body which communicates the will of civil society structures on economic and social development.
