Hristo Botev Bulgarian Secondary School in Bratislava Celebrates 75th Anniversary

The Hristo Botev Bulgarian Secondary School in Bratislava celebrated its 75th anniversary on Thursday. The event was held at the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University in the Slovak capital. The official guests included Bulgaria's Vice President Iliana Iotova, Bulgarian Ambassador to Slovakia Vassil Petkov, the Education and Science Minister's Chief of Office, Natalia Mihalevska, BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Bulgarian Union of Teachers President Yanka Takeva.

The school's principal, Nikolay Yordanov, introduced the guests and thanked them for attending the event.

Ambassador Vassil Petkov said that the school has become an institution in the Slovak capital over the past 75 years and has deservedly established itself as one of the leading and most prestigious educational institutions in Bratislava.

The Hristo Botev Bulgarian Secondary School teaches Bulgarian, Slovak, German and English. Innovative pedagogical practices are used and various programmes and projects are organized both in Slovakia and Bulgaria.
