Bulgarians from the Moldovan town of Taraclia, graduates of the lyceums in the region, visited the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova, the Education Department of Taraclia Region reported on Tuesday. The study visit was organized by a non-governmental organization, the Civic Initiatives Center for National Minorities. 

The students and teachers met with the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, the Member of Moldovan Parliament, Sinchevici Eugeniu, and the state secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research, Sergiu Gurin.

The Taraclia youth had the opportunity to talk directly with Ministry representatives about the prospects for the development of higher education in the country, focusing on the needs and hopes of young people from ethnic minorities. The open dialogue raised themes of youth engagement in decision-making at local, regional and national levels.
