Bulgarian Greco-Roman wrestler Edmond Nazaryan won first place in the 63 kg category at the Trophée des Volcans Tournament in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and CSKA got the team title after achieving almost complete domination.

The two-time European champion triumphed in the 63kg class after scoring four victories with a technical knockout and took the Best Foreigner prize.

In the final, Nazaryan overcame French wrestler Gildas Chambinaud, 8-0. In the semi-finals, he defeated another representative of the hosts, Latuf Madi, 10-0.

The Trophée des Volcans was Nazaryan’s first tournament since the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade where he lost his first bout in the 60 kg category.

Nazaryan's younger brother, Grisha became a champion in the men's 67 kg category. In the final, the talented 18-year-old won against his French opponent Ilian Doubach, 15-6, and defeated Georgian Giorgi Bregvadze, 3-0, in a heated semi-final.

The CSKA team led by coach Dimcho Dimchev took six more titles won by Yasen Borisov (52 kg), Kristiyan Petkov (62 kg) and Alexander Ivanov (68 kg) in the U15 category, and Radostin Vasilev (92 kg), Dimo Dimov (97 kg) and Antonio Takov (110 kg) in the Cadets category.

Filip Durev (75 kg) won silver, and Isa Tahsimov (85 kg) won bronze, also in the U15 category.

Teams from the UK, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Greece and France also entered the competition.
