site.btaWars in Focus of Courage of Rabbits Exhibition

The wars are in the focus of an exhibition, titled “The Courage of Rabbits” by visual artist Eslitsa Popova. It will open at the Arosita Gallery on November 17, organizers said.

"When the war in Ukraine started, I began to fold these ordinary papers. I was listening and folding. It became a tic. While I was listening about the horrors, I was folding paper," the author recounted.

The exhibition is arranged in cooperation with the National Culture Fund.

Popova was born in 1965 in Ruse (on the Danube). She graduated from the National Academy of Art and for 20 years lived on the island of Saint Maarten, where she had a gallery. Now she lives and works in Bulgaria. She has over 30 solo and collective exhibitions in Bulgaria, France and the US.
