The Central Election Commission published interim results from the October 29 local elections.

By 6 am on Tuesday, 100% of the tally sheets in all 26 regional capitals were processed. These are Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna, Vidin, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Lovech, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Targovishte, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol.  

Burgas, Vratsa, Kardzhali, Montana, Pernik, Stara Zagora, Targivishte and Yambol elected their mayors in the first round. Blagoevgrad, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Gabrovo. Dobrich, Kyustendil, Lovech, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Haskovo and Shumen will hold runoff elections on November 5. 
 
The runoffs should be scheduled within 48 hours of the vote under the Election Code.
