site.btaDrug Trafficking Ring Is Busted

The police and the prosecution have busted a criminal ring involved in drug dealing, Deputy Sofia City Prosecutor Ivo Iliev told a news briefing on Thursday.

The operation took place two days ago in Sofia and the nearby village of German.

Law enforcers found large quantities of marijuana, amphetamines, hashish, heroin and over 10 kg of ecstasy. 

The distribution happened through special channels and mobile applications. Deliveries were made through parcel lockers.

The drugs’ worth is estimated at around BGN 950,000.

Interior Minister Zhivko Kotsev said that the ring was very well organized and that its members worked as enforcers and over BGN 100,000 were seized.
