Bulgaria's Desislava Angelova made it to the skiff A finals at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade. She finished third in the first semi-final after clocking 7:42.45 min. in the 2,000 m race, which secured her a place in the battle for a medal and the first Olympic berth for rowing for Bulgaria.

Her final is due at 16:44 hrs on September 10.

In the men's competition, Kristian Vassilev finished fifth in his semi-final series with a time of 7:09.15 min. He will be in the B final on Sunday, at 13:16 hrs.
