site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,096 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 15.2%

Sofia, April 21 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 390,911, after 13,800 tests identified 2,096
 new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
15.2 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 437 positive
tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 227 cases and Burgas
Region with 183.

The active cases are 61,120. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 8,598, including 765 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 12,931.

Another 3,351 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 314,273.

A hundred and six fatalities were reported, and the death toll
now adds up to 15, 518.

With 11,876 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 657,333
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 135,377 have received both doses. PP
