site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 400 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 7.33 %

April 26 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 397,500 after 5,454 tests identified 400 new
 infections on Sunday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
7.33 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 151 positive
tests, followed by Varna Region with 50 cases and Plovdiv Region
 with 28 cases.

The active cases are 56,650. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 8,080, including 746 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,045, with four new
cases detected since Saturday.

Another 557 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 324 943.

Forty-eight fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 15,907.

With 2,070 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 723,240
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 163,966 have received both doses. RY/LG
