April 28 (BTA) - In April 2021, the total business climate indicator remained approximately at its level from the previous month,the National Statistical Institute said on Wednesday. The indicator worsened in industry and construction, remained unchanged in retail trade and increased in the sector of services.

The business climate in industry decreased by 1.4 percentage points as a result of the more reserved industrial entrepreneurs assessments and expectations about the business situation of the enterprises.

The business climate in construction decreased by 1.3 percentage points mainly due to the worsened construction entrepreneurs expectations about the business situation of the enterprises over the next six months.

The business climate in retail trade retained its March level. The retailers forecasts about the business development in the sector over the next six month are optimistic, and their expectations about the volume of sales over the next three months remain favourable.

The business climate in the service sector increased by 2.3 percentage points which is due to the improved managers expectations about the business situation of the enterprises over the next six months. Their opinions about the demand for services over the next three months are also more optimistic. LN/PP
