site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 367 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6%

Мay 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria reached 406,192 after 6,206 tests identified 367 new
infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
6 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 68 positive
tests, followed by Varna Region with 66 cases and Burgas Region
with 34.

The active cases are 47,357. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 6,670, including 637 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,189.

Another 1,058 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 342,226.

Sixty-one fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
up to 16,609.

With 11,133 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 844,643
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 225,387 have received both doses. PP
