site.btaUS Linden Energy Company Acquires 50 Per Cent in Private Bulgarian Ovegas Inc.

Sofia, July 8 (BTA) - The US company Linden Energy acquires a 50
 per cent stake in the private Bulgarian gas company Overgas
Inc., Overgas Inc. Executive Director Svetoslav Ivanov told BTA.
 The agreement was signed during a business forum of the annual
summit of the Three Seas Initiative taking place in Sofia on
Thursday and Friday. The deal is part of the strategy of Linden
Energy to increase its investments in Bulgaria and the region.

Linden Energy was established in 2013 by Stephen Payne. The
company has successfully worked on projects in Europe and South
Asia and participated in the construction of major international
 gas pipelines. Since 2016 the company owns ten per cent of the
capacity of the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector.

Established in 1992, Overgas Inc. is the biggest Bulgarian
private gas company. The company's Overgas Networks arm is the
biggest distributor of natural gas in Bulgaria with more than
2,500 km of gas pipe networks and more than 81,000 end users.
