site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 854 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6.4%

Sofia, September 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 461,545, after 13,386 tests identified 854 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted Sunday on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.4 per cent.

The capital Sofia tops the list of new cases with 132  positive tests, followed by Burgas Region with 121 new cases and Varna Region with 110 cases.

The active cases are 34,419. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,114, including 338 in intensive care.

Another 192 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 408,043.

Thirty-two fatalities are reported, and the death toll now adds up to 19,083.

With 3,372 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,352,395 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 1,198,196 who are fully vaccinated.
