site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,246 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 11.95%

Sofia, October 10 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 520,241, after 10,423 tests identified 1,246 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 11.95 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 356 positive tests, followed by Varna with 129 cases and Burgas with 94.

The active cases are 50,401. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 5,489, including 469 in intensive care.

Another 643 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 448,224.

Thirty fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 21,616.

With 2,335 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,587,495 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,360,933 people are fully vaccinated, and 4,529 have received a booster jab.
