site.btaPM Yanev: Medical Experts Mull Possibility to Provide Green Certificate to People with Proven COVID-19 Antibodies

Sofia, October 29 (BTA) - Caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev said that medical experts are currently working on the possibility to provide green certificates to people who have COVID-19 antibodies, proven by a lab test. "I hope that it will become clear if this can bedone by the middle of next week," Yanev told journalists and members of the public on Facebook on Friday.

These tests, which generally speaking measure the quantity of antibodies, are not universally recognized across the world from a medical standpoint. There are such practices in Austria and Switzerland. We are working with a matter that continuously evolves. Science devlopes along with the pandemic,'' he said.

"That's a possibility, but I would rather not predict what the medical specilists will decide," he said, adding that this is their field of expertise. This decision is not a political one," Yanev said. MY
