Sofia, November 11 (BTA) - Six or seven parties stand a chance to enter the next parliament, the Centre for Analysis and Marketing (CAM) found in a survey. Its findings were presented Thursday at the BTA National Press Club by the Centre's Director, Yuli Pavlov.


The face-to-face survey was conducted among 1,016 adult citizens between November 4 and 8. One per cent of all respondents correspondents to 58,000 people. The sampling method is a two-staged nested sampling with probability proportional to nest size.


The GERB-UDF coalition leads with 23.5 per cent support. It is followed by Continue the Change with 16.2 per cent, the Bulgarian Socialist Party with 14.6 per cent, There Is Such a People (12.2 per cent), Democratic Bulgaria (11.0) per cent, and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 10.3 per cent. Rise Up BG! Here We Come! also stands a chance to enter the parliament with 4.2 per cent of the votes. Below the 4 per cent electoral threshold are Vazrazhdane [Revival] and VMRO.


A total of 53.4 per cent of respondents have already decided for whom they will vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections on November 14. Another 13.5 per cent are determined to vote, but are still hesitant about their choice. Some 13.7 per cent have not yet decided whether they would vote or not and 13.9 have firmly decided not to vote. Some 3.1 million citizens are expected to go to the polls, Pavlov forecasted.


According to 62.3 per cent of the respondents, the new Parliament should form a government, even at the cost of big compromises, and 25.1 per cent are convinced that a regular government should be formed at all cost. A total of 49.3 per cent believe that a regular government will be formed. On the contrary, 32 per cent are rather sceptical.


Regarding the presidential elections, a total of 52.3 of the respondents have already decided for whom they will vote. Another 14.6 per cent are determined to vote, as well, but are still hesitant about their choice. Some 10.8 per cent are still hesitant whether they will go to the polls or not and 19.1 per cent have firmly decided not to vote.


A total of 48.2 per cent of the respondents will support Rumen Radev, who is seeking re-election. Anastas Gerdjikov, backed by GERB-UDF, ranks second with 22.8 per cent, followed by MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi (9.1 per cent), Lozan Panov, backed by Democratic Bulgaria (7.3 per cent), Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov (2 per cent) and pop-folk singer Luna Yordanova (1.1 per cent).
