November 19 (BTA) - The requirement to sign an informed
consent form prior to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine is scrapped,
caretaker Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov told journalists here
 on Friday.

The topic was discussed days ago with the Director of the
European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC),
Andrea Ammon, the Health Minister said. According to Ammon,
there is no medical requirement to sign an informed consent form
prior to vaccination. Katsarov added that this requirement will
be lifted on his orders, because there are no medical or legal
grounds for such a document.

The issuance of a certificate for a second recovery from
COVID-19 is a fact starting on Friday. The requirement is that
90 days have passed between the first and second infection,
Katsarov explained.

All funds for front-line medical workers have been paid out and
there is no shortage of medicines in hospitals, he said, adding
that the Council of Ministers is expected to approve additional
funding for front-line workers next week. RY/MY
