site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,455 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6.5%

November 21 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 672,555, after 22,554 tests identified 1,455 new infections on Saturdat, 84.05 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.5 per cent.

The active cases are 108,260. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,332, including 759 in intensive care. Of the 262 new hospital admissions, 91.22 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 1,743 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 537,115.

Fifty-six fatalities were reported (92.86 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 27,180.

With 7,267 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,181,487 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,690,821 people are fully vaccinated, and 61,037 have received a booster jab.//
