site.btaStatistical Data Show 0.6% Growth in Industry in June Y/Y

Sofia, August 8 (BTA) - According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, the seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index  decreased by 1.3 per cent in June 2014 as compared to May 2014. In June 2014 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 0.6 per cent in comparison with the same month of 2013.

In June 2014, compared to May 2014, the seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index decreased in the mining and quarrying industry by 3.0 per cent and in the manufacturing by 0.5 per cent, while in the electricity, gas,
steam and air conditioning supply an increase by 0.1 per cent was seen.

On annual basis, in June 2014, a growth by 1.8 per cent was registered in manufacturing , while there was a drop in the production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 4.1 per cent and in the mining and quarrying industry by 1.4 per cent.
