site.btaBulgaria Issues 300,000th Visa to Russian Traveller This Year

Sofia/Moscow, August 19 (BTA) - The 300,000th Bulgarian visa issued this year to a Russian traveller was granted to 27-year-old Anastasia Chernishova from Moscow, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Russia Boiko Kotsev congratulated the recipient of the 300,000th visa who travels to Bulgaria for a seaside holiday with her mother.

By tradition, the Bulgarian Economy and Energy Ministry provided the visa holder with a free one-week holiday package in Bulgaria's Golden Sands resort.

The 300,000th visa was issued a month after the 200,000th visa. In first half of 2014, the number of Russian visitors to Bulgaria increased by nearly 5 per cent.
