293 Voting Sections
Expected to Be Set Up
Abroad
Sofia, August 25 (BTA) - The Foreign Ministry on Monday said
that 293 voting sections are expected to be set up abroad
according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
CEC's preliminary list comprises locations where over a
five-year period prior to election day, October 5, there had
been at least one voting section with no fewer than 100 voters.
The Foreign Ministry says that a final list of voting sections
abroad has to be approved by CEC by September 13. CEC's final
list will also take into consideration the number of
applications filed by September 9, 20 and 40 for places with or
without Bulgarian diplomatic missions respectively. The list
will reflect proposals by the heads of diplomatic missions about
locations where voting sections should be set up regardless of
the number of applications.
The Foreign Ministry recalls that Bulgarian expatriate
organizations may submit suggestions to Bulgarian diplomatic
representatives in the respective country about voting sections
