November 26 (BTA) - Early estimates show that in the third quarter of 2021, cargo carried in the freight transport sector grew by 10.2 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2021, while the work accomplished decreased by 1 per cent, the National Statistical Institute said on Friday, publishing seasonally adjusted data. In passenger transport (land, water, and public electric), the number of passengers and the amount of work accomplished increased by 3.5 per cent and 1.3 per cent, respectively.

In the third quarter of 2021 compared with the third quarter of 2020, cargo carried in the freight transport sector (land, water) grew by 13.7 per cent, and the work accomplished expanded by 2 per cent, according to early estimates. The number of passengers and the work accomplished in passenger transport decreased by 2.5 per cent and 1.3 per cent, respectively. RY/VE
