site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 728 New Cases Confirmed, Test Positivity Rate at 5.1%

November 29 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 689,356 after 14,218 tests identified 728 new infections on Sunday, November 28, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate for the day was 5.1 per cent. Some 82.83 per cent of the new cases are unvaccinated persons.

The active cases are 105,292. An additional 201 patients were hospitalized on Sunday, 91.04 per cent of them unvaccinated. Intensive care is being provided to 756 people.

Fifty-eight patients died in 24 hours, 93.1 per cent of them unvaccinated. This puts the total death toll to 28,101.

Another 520 patients recovered on Sunday, bringing the total to 555,963.

With 4,642 new inoculations on Sunday, 3,295,198 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,755,156 people are fully vaccinated, including 87,670 who have received a booster jab. DD/VE
