Sofia, December 5 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on
Friday was briefed about South Stream documentation by Energy
Minister Temenouzhka Petrova. On Wednesday, Borissov told
Parliament that he couldn't get hold of the pipeline agreement
because it was a trade secret.
During a regular cabinet meeting on December 3, Borissov tasked
the Energy Minister to obtain all agreements on South Stream by
December 5, it emerged from a transcript of the meeting
published on Friday. The Energy Minister has collected the
documents from the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the South Stream
project company. Among the documents there are no long-term gas
transit contract and a comprehensive financial model, necessary
to calculate Bulgaria's returns from the construction of the
gas pipeline on its territory.
As a next step, Borissov has ordered Energy Minister Petrova and
Economy Minister Loukarski to prepared a legal, economic and
financial analysis of the collected documents. Bulgaria will put
forward the analysis at an upcoming EU Transport,
Telecommunications and Energy Council in Brussels on December 9.
