Heavy Traffic at Kalotina Border Crossing


Sofia, January 26 (BTA) - Traffic is heavy at the Kalotina
border checkpoint with Serbia, said the Interior Ministry.

Difficulties with the processing of passing vehicles at the
Serbian Gradina checkpoint have resulted in long lines of heavy
trucks on the Bulgarian side. Police officers are redirecting
trucks to places where they can park and wait, preventing
further blocking of the road.

Only trucks without trailers are allowed to travel through the
Prevala and Rozhen passes in the Rhodope Mountains, said the
Road Infrastructure Agency.
