2,105 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 7.5%
Sofia, December 2 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 697,162, after 27,937 tests identified 2,105 new infections on Wednesday, 79.9 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.5 per cent.
The active cases are 105,046. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,302, including 694 in intensive care. Of the 526 new hospital admissions, 86.69 per cent were not vaccinated.
Another 2,089 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 563,574.
89 fatalities were reported (86.52 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 28,542.
With 19,519 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,350,019 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,780,797 people are fully vaccinated, and 106,513 have received a booster jab.
