Sofia, Zagreb Share Experience in Eurofund Management

Zagreb/Sofia, March 17 (BTA) - Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav
Donchev and Croatian Minister of Regional Development and
European Funds, Branko Grcic, Tuesday shared good practices in
the management of European funds, pressing matters related to
the completion of the financial framework by the end of 2013 and
the challenges at the threshold of the new programme period,
the Council of Ministers said.

Seventy-two per cent of public investments in Bulgaria are made
with the support of European funding.

"In the last eight years Bulgaria has amassed considerable
experience in European fund management, including a negative
one. Today we are aware what mistakes we have made, how to avoid
them and, above all, how to focus on the successful completion
of the ongoing projects and the launch of the procedures for the
new programme period," Donchev said.

He singled out the development of a digital system for the
submission and reporting of projects as a considerable
achievement during the first programme period and also mentioned
the building of administrative capacity to guarantee
consistency and sustainability of measures applied at state
level.

Donchev is paying a working visit to Croatia until March 18. He
is scheduled to deliver a lecture at the EPТs Representation
Office in Zagreb jointly with Grcic and to have a working
meeting with Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Vesna Pucic.
