President Plevneliev  Awarded the  ERI Prix in Austria

Vienna, March 18 (BTA Exclusive by Tsvetana Delibaltova) -
President Rosen Plevneliev conferred Wednesday with the Governor
of the state of Lower Austria, Erwin Proll, and was awarded the
ERI Prix at a ceremony, held in the parliament building in the
capital of Lower Austria, Sankt Polten.

Plevneliev presented a report on cooperation of the regions as a
guarantee for a strong and united Europe and received the award
for his contribution in this field of European integration. The
ERI Prix was presented to the Bulgarian head of State by
Governor Proll and the Rector of the Danube University Krems,
Friedrich Faulhammer.

The award was presented for the first time in 2005 and is
awarded every two to three years for contributions to preserving
diversity and equality of the regions on the path to united
Europe. Some of the notable recipients are European Commission
President Jean-Claude Juncker, ex-Czech president Vaclav Klaus
(2003-2013), ex-Slovakian prime minister (1998-2006) and
minister of foreign affairs Mikulas Dzurinda.

The ceremony concluded Plevneliev's two-day working visit to
Austria.
