Law Amendments Allow Carrying Military Service in Bulgarian Territory within Multinational Divisions

Sofia, March 20 (BTA) - Revisions in the Defence and Armed
Forces Act allow service persons to carry their service in the
territory of Bulgaria in multinational divisions or at offices
of international organizations and other international
initiatives, The revisions were adopted conclusively by
Parliament on Friday.

Such service may have a length of three years with only one
extension of no more than a year.

Parliament decided that funding will be set aside in the 2015
and 2016 budget of then Defence Ministry for administrative
services that Bulgaria will provide for the Interallied
Confederation of Reserve Officers of the NATO member states
through the Union of Officers and Sergeants of the Reserve.
