National Business Board to Assist Cabinet in Determining, Pursuing Economic Policy

Sofia, March 25 (BTA) - The government establishes a National
Business Board as an advisory body to the Council of Ministers
in determining and pursuing the economic policy of Bulgaria, the
government's information service said on Wednesday.

The Board, to be chaired by the Economy Minister, includes
deputy ministers of different ministries and the heads of the
nationally representative employers associations. The heads of
the standing committees in Parliament and floor leaders involved
in the implementation of the cabinet's governance programme
will too take part in the work of the Board.

The Board will analyse and suggest measures in support of
innovations and investments intended to improve the
competitiveness of the economy. Its members will also draw up
recommendations and consult the cabinet on problems related to
the overall economic development of the country, prepare and
suggest economic and legal regulatory measures to encourage
investments, organize, analyse and monitor the interaction among
the executive authorities, other state bodies and the business.
